Hannah is a senior fisheries analyst in the Inshore Central Fisheries Management team at Fisheries New Zealand. Her work focuses on managing protected species bycatch in inshore commercial fisheries, specifically seabird and dolphin bycatch, supporting Fisheries New Zealand's involvement in customary marine title proceedings under the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act and working with Māori through forums (known as Iwi Fisheries Forums) established as the agency for direct engagement between indigenous people and Fisheries New Zealand on fisheries management issues and on policy that affects fisheries. Hannah has also spent some time supporting New Zealand's role at the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT).
