Lucas is a Quantitative Fisheries Scientist based in Cairns, QLD, with the Stock Assessment team of Queensland's Department of Primary Industries (DPI). He has a particular interest in quantifying species-specific influences such as migratory patterns, growth morphs, environmental impacts and depredation within stock assessment models. Lucas has developed stock assessment models for some of northern Australia's most iconic tropical finfish species, including Spanish mackerel, Barramundi and Red emperor.
